Veterinary soft tissue surgery · dogs · cats · exotics panels

From the prophylaxis clock to the drain pull. Run the whole list on 2025–2026 guidelines.

The interactive small-animal soft tissue surgery academy for vets and vet nurses: make the ENOVAT 2025 prophylaxis decision as a timed routine, classify every wound with the 2026 SSI definitions, plan margins on the current evidence, and run the complication watch that keeps patients alive — with a dated, sourced number table behind every threshold the course teaches and a verify-against-a-current-formulary stamp on every drug value.

A decision example, not a prescription. The clock runs the ENOVAT 2025 recommendation balance (doi:10.1111/jsap.70072) and the WSAVA/Vet J 2024 dosing table; every number it mentions carries the verify-against-a-current-formulary stamp.
The real problem

Most surgical misses are not knowledge failures.

A webinar is not a surgical list

Recorded lectures can describe a wound class. They cannot drill the SAP Clock against a real list, the margin board against a real lump, or the LEAK Watch against a real day-4 incision.

Generic courses carry stale rules

The prophylaxis standard changed in 2025 (ENOVAT), the surgical-site-infection vocabulary landed in 2026 (AJVR consensus), and the retired "3 cm for every mast cell tumor" rule is still taught. A course without dates on its numbers is out of date on its most-taught topics.

The numbers change the plan

86.4 % survival in a 130-case GDV series, 97 % to discharge for pyometra, 22.7 % overall complications for tie-back — the right sourced number at the right step is the consent conversation.

Six original GlobalVet frameworks

Systems you can run on any surgical list.

Every lesson, case and tool uses the same six thinking tools, so they become automatic.

Prophylaxis

The S.A.P. Clock

Sort the wound class · Assess the indication · Pick the agent and dose — then clock the first dose to the incision, set the redose alarms and stop at wound closure. ENOVAT 2025 as a timed routine.

Hemostasis

The B.L.E.E.D. Ladder

Baseline pressure · Ligature · Energy · Expanding hemostats · Definitive control. A toolkit matched to the bleeding source, not a mandatory sequence — nothing delays definitive control.

Oncology

The M.A.R.G.I.N. Planner

Measure · Assess · Resect · Get histology · Interpret · Next step. Mass surgery as a repeatable protocol, on the current margin evidence.

Drains

The D.R.A.I.N. Path

Decide · Rule the type · Anchor · Inspect the log · Note removal. Drain decision-to-removal discipline.

Airway

The A.I.R. Grade

Anesthesia-free history · Inventory the components · Report the functional grade. A BOAS worksheet wrapped around the Cambridge / Kennel Club Respiratory Function Grading Scheme — taught with attribution, never claimed as ours.

Post-op

The L.E.A.K. Watch

Lethargy & fever · Exam · Abdominal signs · Key labs — then escalate with the case engine. Post-operative dehiscence and septic-peritonitis surveillance.

Curriculum

8 modules. One path from the safe list to the complication watch.

Branching cases

Practice the hard case before it walks in.

Each branching case is a consult-room conversation: you choose what to recommend and how to explain it to the owner, and the owner answers. Scores: best move +2, acceptable +1, poor 0, harmful −2. The first case is free.

What the exam tests
  • Prophylaxis and infection prevention on the 2025–2026 guidelines
  • Technique: instruments, suture, closure, hemostasis, drains
  • Emergency decisions: GDV, pyometra, dehiscence, obstruction
  • Oncologic margins on the current evidence
  • Numbers with sources — and spotting the outdated advice

FAQ

Before you enroll.

Who is this for?

Veterinarians in small-animal general practice first, recently graduated veterinarians second, and veterinary nurses and technicians through an in-lesson track (instrument counting, checklist administration, wound photography, drain nursing, post-operative pain scoring). There is no separate product.

How current is the drug content?

It reflects the 2025 ENOVAT surgical antimicrobial prophylaxis guidelines, the 2026 surgical-site-infection definitions consensus and the analgesia guidelines of 2022–2024. Every number shows its source and year and a verify-against-a-current-formulary stamp, because labels change.

Will the numbers work in my country?

Drug labels and authorization differ by country (US, EU, UK), so every drug lesson carries a region note. In Hong Kong and Macau, check local availability and labeling before prescribing. Doses are educational reference values to verify against a current formulary and your practice protocols.

Are there videos of the procedures?

The knot-and-suture lab ships the licensed CC technique clips that have been verified; the course never uses AI video and never promises footage that has not been filmed. Additional clinic footage is added only when it exists.

Is there a certificate?

Yes — a verifiable certificate of completion after passing the 30-item exam at 80 %, recording about 20 hours of study, including lessons, cases, tools, practice and exam preparation. Lesson minutes estimate the reading component only. No CE or accreditation is claimed.
